Columbus, OH. September 29, 2021. National Affordable Housing Trust (NAHT) is excited to announce the promotion of Tamara (TJ) Brummett to Vice President, Compliance. Ms. Brummett joined NAHT in 2002 as a development specialist and will celebrate her 20th year with NAHT in 2022.
During her tenure at NAHT TJ has held several roles, developing expertise in many facets of affordable housing. She has been through numerous cycles as the affordable housing and LIHTC business has evolved and brings that experience to the benefit of NAHT colleagues and stakeholders every day.

Ms. Brummett now serves in the Fund Management group, with duties which extend across multiple NAHT departments. In her role as Vice President, Compliance, Ms. Brummett tracks compliance reporting for all the properties in NAHT’s portfolio throughout their compliance period as well as ensuring all of NAHT entities are in compliance with state and federal regulations. Ms. Brummett also assists the underwriting team with respect to insurance matters, oversees initial file audits, annual audits, and occasionally conducts on-site file reviews during NAHT site visits. Ms. Brummett brought a great deal of LIHTC experience with her to NAHT having work previously as a development specialist for a LIHTC developer in Illinois.
